2025 Wrap-Up at HiJiffy

Has this year flown by for you too? At HiJiffy, it was a fast-paced year, but as 2025 comes to a close, we are taking a short pause to recap and reflect on the milestones that shaped another transformative year. From major product breakthroughs and strategic integrations to new educational content formats, expanding teams, and strengthening our presence across the global hospitality landscape. This year has been about building deeper connections: between technology and people, between hotels and their guests, and within our own teams.

Advancing Hospitality AI: Aplysia 3 and New Product Innovations

Launching Aplysia 3: A new generation of hotel AI

In 2025, we introduced Aplysia 3, the most advanced version of our conversational AI to date. This new type of hotel chatbot redefines what intelligent automation means in hospitality:

  • RAG-powered knowledge retrieval, ensuring consistently accurate answers.
  • Unlimited knowledge base capacity, allowing hotels to store and update information at scale.
  • Instant update workflows, enabling rapid adjustment to changing operations, promotions, or policies.
  • Strong multi-property features, giving hotel groups more control and consistency across brands.

Aplysia 3 sets the foundation for the next chapter of technology supporting – and enhancing – guest communications. More reliable, more flexible, and more intuitive than ever.

Campaigns Manager: Automated WhatsApp messages across guest journey

We also launched the Campaigns Manager, empowering hoteliers to create automated, PMS-triggered WhatsApp messages. From upselling room upgrades to reducing operational workload with pre-arrival or in-stay messages, Campaigns Manager gives teams even more control over:

  • Guest segmentation
  • Automated triggers
  • Message templates
  • Performance insights

This has become one of our most widely adopted tools, helping hotels drive revenue and streamline operations with minimal manual intervention.

A new integration with Expedia Group

Our expanded hotel tech ecosystem grew further with the Expedia Group integration, enabling hotels to centralise guest messages from Expedia directly into the HiJiffy Console. This means fewer tabs, fewer delays, and a smoother service experience for staff and guests alike.

More integrations with hotel tech systems

In addition to upgrading some of the existing 100+ integrations, we launched over 10 new ones, including Mews Check-In, Apaleo, Checkfront, RoomRaccoon, Beds24, Conttessa, Hotelizer, Cendyn, AlojaPro, Nor1, Unifocus, and more!

Helping Hoteliers Learn, Grow, and Stay Ahead

Interactive Product Video Tour

This year we introduced a click-by-click interactive product tour – a guided experience that walks you through the guest journey, showing both the guest and staff perspectives.

At their own pace, hoteliers can explore how:

  • Guests interact with conversational AI
  • Requests are handled
  • Communications, workflows, and automation are managed inside the HiJiffy Console

This new format quickly became one of our most engaged-with resources and you can explore it yourself.

We published a landmark white paper exploring one of the industry’s most relevant questions: How to balance AI and human touch in hospitality?

Towards the end of the year, we brought something new to LinkedIn: Virtual Coffees, a series where Tiago Araújo, HiJiffy’s CEO and Co-Founder, sits down with inspiring voices in the hospitality industry.

Our Team and Culture: Growing Stronger Together

Welcoming new colleagues

Our team grew by 27%, welcoming 18 new hires across multiple departments. Each addition brought new energy, new expertise, and new perspectives to strengthen our mission. Check our current job openings.

Supporting families and welcoming returns

This year, we celebrated six maternity leave returns, each managed as a full onboarding process to ensure a smooth and supportive reintegration. Several more are planned for 2026.

Meaningful in-person connection

Even through HiJiffy is a remote-first company, we nurtured face-to-face collaboration and strengthen our bonds during in-person meetings:

  • Semi-annual department off-sites for deeper alignment and workshops;
  • Two company-wide gatherings (Kick-off and Mid-Year) that brought every member of HiJiffy together – this year in Lisbon and Cascais.

New offices in Porto and Barcelona

As our team and operations grow, we expanded our physical footprint with new office spaces in Porto and Barcelona, strengthening our hubs for collaboration and innovation.

Community Milestones

Our community is also growing in a digital space. This year we surpassed 10k followers on LinkedIn and welcomed many new subscribers to our newsletter – thank you for following our journey, sharing our content, and contributing to the discussions that shape our industry.
